Family Tragedy

We've spent the last 6 days in Arizona, and it's been a long hard week. Last Sunday, Dan's younger brother Matt was killed in a car accident. We flew out as soon as we could the next day. His funeral was on Saturday, and so the time prior to that was spent making arrangements and spending with family.

Words can't describe the pain I feel for Matt's family. He has two little boys and one on the way, due in just a few weeks. This news link is an interview with Matt's wife Brenda. She's been amazingly strong during this time. http://www.azfamily.com/news/local/stories/Gilbert-local-news-091108-wife-fatal-wreck-talks.695cffbd.html

If you're interested in assisting, we have some of Matt's CDs available for sale. ($10) He was an accomplished pianist and his music is beautiful. All of the money will be given directly to his family. Please contact me if you are interested.

Hi there. I popped over from Raina's site. My aunt is neighbors with Brenda's parents in OK. I just wanted to say how sorry I am for the loss you are all experiencing. That is a pain I can't even imagine.

Oh Danell! I had no idea. I am so sorry. What a tragic situation for his family. That unborn baby not knowing his dad is even more heartbreaking. I'll be praying for all of you.

I'd like to get a CD.

Hi, I'm the friend Brandi mentioned (small world!). We met briefly when two other girls and I brought dinner on the night of the visitation. I just wanted to tell you that I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you have all felt the many prayers being offered in your behalf. Our ward is really trying to pull together for Brenda and the boys, but if you know of anything else they may need (she may not ask) please let me know.

My mom told me the news about a week ago. I'm so sorry to hear it. It can't be fun to go through, and is likely a catalyst for many thoughts and prayers on your part and the part of others. I hope everyone is hanging in there with strong testimonies and faith. There is a bright future ahead for your family.
